Will my Vonage® Business phone system work even if we lose internet or power? Do I need a backup phone number?
Yep, your service is safe. In the event of an emergency where Vonage Business is unable to route calls to your Vonage phones, our Call Continuity Service will reroute your calls to a backup phone number of your choice.
Call Continuity can also detect when your phone loses its connection with Vonage. If you experience a local power or Internet outage, Vonage will reroute your calls to a specified backup phone number. Plus, if you’re using our mobile app, you’ll be able to make and receive business calls on your smartphone during local outages like it’s business as usual.
